PROJECTS

As part of the RBFK's project work, a number of practice-oriented projects and subject areas with scientific questions have been initiated and processed to date:

• Feasibility study for the heat supply/cooling of selected buildings in the municipality of Helbra through the geothermal utilization of the Schlüsselstollen in the area of the filling site of the former Schmid shaft Helbra.

• Feasibility study for a model project of a thermal-electrical interconnected system using local mine water resources to supply heat for building heating and to generate H2 for energy storage in the Hettstedt area.

• Geological-economic evaluation of copper deposits (initialized)

• Handbook on the subject of pyrometallurgical copper slag from the processing of polymetallic ores from the central German mining district of Mansfeld-Sangerhausen.

• Investigations into innovative, resource-saving processing methods for polymetallic ores (Cu, Zn, Pb, Ag, Au, Co, Ni, etc.) (in preparation).
