The European Center of Just Transition Research and Impact-Driven Transfer (JTC) develops research-based, practice-oriented solutions for the challenges and needs of the post-mining region of Central Germany.

Interdisciplinary innovation teams at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg combine the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences and materials science to promote transfer and start-up orientation. As an incubator, the center supports the region with innovative approaches and new business fields for a sustainable future.

The JTC pursues a mission-oriented research agenda designed to address the questions of the day after tomorrow in order to ensure a just transition to a sustainable, climate-neutral circular economy.
