The municipality of Mansfelder Grund-Helbra has taken a major step forward with a feasibility study for a geothermal project. The assessment of variants for the project to secure the future heating and cooling of municipal buildings in Helbra with underground mine water from the former Mansfeld copper slate mine from the Schmid shaft has been completed.
